The 2009 VintageThe growing season was favorable while an early freeze mid-October delayed harvest, resulting in grapes having higher acid levels and lower sugars.
The Wine: Chambord & strawberry notes in the nose, lush, dark plum-like flavors, delicious multiple fruits on palate, well-balanced with rich finish. Washington State Syrah is unlike Syrah from anywhere else on the Planet – typically lower acid and with considerable richness and to soft tannins.
Food Matches: Our Syrah is Very friendly to all palates with low-acid, high-fruit flavors that match fowl, beef, lamb and rich cheeses.
