2008 Petit Verdot

rr-blankCool spring followed by favorable growing conditions with a two week lag in harvest. This contributed to better acidity, stronger color (in reds) and crisper, brighter, fresher wines over all.

We segregated three barrels of this Petit Verdot in order to produce our first wine made from this difficult varietal.
Distinct aromas of herbs, white pepper, dark black cherry, mocha and toffee that carry through to the palate where it combines with ripe, rich tannin delivery with a medium body and finish.
