2008 Malbec

rr-blankCool spring followed by favorable growing conditions with a two week lag in harvest. This contributed to better acidity, stronger color (in reds) and crisper, brighter, fresher wines over all.

We segregated three promising barrels of this Malbec in order to produce our first wine made primarily from this generous varietal.
This wine opens with blueberries, currant, black cherry, tea and chocolate on the nose that carry through to the palate. It is accentuated by light oak spices, balanced acids and tannins.
