2010 Pinot Gris

Vintage 2010: Light straw color with scents of pineapple and grapefruit / attractive lemongrass and stone-fruit aromas / rich mouth feel, surprisingly full-flavored / lovely nectarine and kiwi flavors / sweet fruit in dry finish lush and lingering – very tasty! Pinot Gris has a tendency to deliver a slightly bitter/metallic finish, which we have over come with judicious additions of three strongly-flavored varietals. This allows the depth of flavor inherent in this grape to perform very well as a match to fresh seafood, light pasta dishes and with mild cheeses. Below-threshold residual sugar permits this interesting and flavorful grape to shine.
