2010 Petit Verdot
Appellation: Rattlesnake Hills
Winemaker Notes: a cool Spring delayed ripening but a warm Fall allowed us to pick in early November, a little late for our region.
The Wine: One of the most difficult challenges for any Winemaker due to extremely dark, tannic skins and small berries. Dense black color with classic ‘pencil-lead’ nose and great depth / abundant soft fruit scents with multiple aromas / deep flavor of ripe fruit and full palate feel with exciting Petite Verdot varietal depth / classic ‘ lavender’ impression and an extraordinarily long finish of delicious and balanced depths.
Food Matches: Perfect with rich lamb dishes and very strong hard cheeses.
Descriptors: Easily complements the richest meat dishes. Very special wine for your Chateaubriande!
