2010 Malbec

2010 Malbec

Appellation: Rattlesnake Hills

The 2010 Vintage: The growing season was favorable but a cool Spring delayed ripening while a warm Fallow allowed us pick in early November, a little late for our region.

The Wine: Purple-black in color with ripe Malbec and Merlot-like fruit scents in nose / enticing aromas blossom with airing displaying lively ‘persimmon’/roasted tomato’ flavors / pure Malbec tastes of big red fruits and oak with an intriguing, long finish with great balance.

Food Matches: RICH red meats and sauces as well as strong blue cheeses and smoked meats.
Descriptors: Superb with all rich beef preparations A great match for powerful entrees and cheeses.
